We are seeking an Inclusion Support Worker to join a vibrant and forward-thinking two-form entry primary school located in the heart of Morley. With excellent transport links, this school is easily accessible and has a reputation for its inclusive and nurturing environment.
The Role
As an Inclusion Support Worker, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support: Work closely with pupils across all age groups (EYFS to Upper KS2), supporting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Promote inclusion: Help pupils feel a part of their class and school community by developing and implementing tailored strategies and interventions.
- Manage challenging behaviour: Respond to incidents as they arise, providing calm and constructive support to de-escalate situations.
- Build strong relationships: Spend time getting to know pupils, understanding their needs, and creating a positive rapport to help them engage in lessons.
- Collaborate with staff: Work closely with teachers and other school staff to develop and deliver effective behaviour support plans.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you should:
- Have experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs (school-based experience is advantageous but not essential).
- Be proactive, patient, and empathetic.
- Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Be committed to making a real difference in pupils’ lives.
