We have an exciting opportunity at the special school in Pontefract that cater for students age range 11 – 19 years old could be a good fit if you’re interested in working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly those with Severe complex or profound multiple learning difficulties.  Among this many of the students contend with additional needs, including Autism, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, as well as medical and physical difficulties. Competitive rates, between £98 – £108 per day (AWR Compliant)

Essential Requirements:

At least 6 months UK experience working in a special school or a similar setting

GCSE passes, GNVQ Level 2 or higher in Health and Social Care

Experience supporting students with PMLD, severe complex needs, Autism, sensory impairment, challenging behaviour, medical and physical difficulties.

Manual Handling and/or Team Teach training (advantageous if you have CPD in these areas)

Additional Information:

May include personal care and feeding for students, as well as manual handling tasks

24/7 consultant support and feedback, as well as on-the-job training
