Salary: £90 – £115 per day

We are currently seeking a dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join a SEND resource provisionin Coventry working full-time, long-term. In this role, you will support students with autism both in the resource provision on a 1:1 and small group basis, as well as assist with inclusion time spent in mainstream lessons for key subjects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with autism, ensuring they access the curriculum and engage in learning.
• Support students in mainstream lessons, assisting them with key subjects and helping with their integration into the broader school environment.
• Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the students’ needs are met and their progress is tracked.
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

Key Requirements:

• A strong awareness and understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly autism.
• Passion for supporting students and a commitment to making a positive impact on their educational experience.
• Resilience and adaptability in managing the diverse challenges that may arise in the classroom.
• A solid understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the ability to support students in core subjects.
• Previous experience working with students with SEND or additional needs is highly desirable.
