Contract: Full-Time, Temporary to Permanent

PK Education are recruiting for a full-time Early Years Inclusion Support Worker to join a wonderful, diverse primary school in South Leeds. This is a temporary-to-permanent role, offering an exciting opportunity to support children with SEND and EAL needs in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with an element of Year 2 support.
Role Overview:
As an Early Years Inclusion Support Worker, you will be working primarily within the Early Years setting, providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs, including ASD, SEMH, and low ability. You will also work with EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils to help them engage and progress within the curriculum.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting pupils with speech and language development, including phonics, and using approaches like PECS.
- Working with pupils with ASD and SEMH needs, adapting learning approaches to meet individual needs.
- Supporting EAL and low-ability pupils to access the EYFS curriculum.
- Providing inclusive support across the school, with a small element of Year 2 support.
- Assisting with personal care when required, following school protocols and safeguarding procedures.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with Early Years pupils and a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
- Knowledge and experience in supporting EAL and low-ability pupils.
- Experience in speech and language development, including phonics and using PECS.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD and SEMH needs.
- Team Teach and Intimate Care training is desirable but not essential.
- A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to working with children.
- A proactive team player who can collaborate effectively with teaching staff and parents.
