Literacy Support Assistant – Sheffield
Daily rate: £95-110 per day
Start date: 6th January 2025
Location: Sheffield, S5.

About the role:
You will be working with individuals or small groups of students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils across all age and ability ranges. This role will require you to work both 1:1 with children and in small groups develop their reading, writing, and spelling skills.
PK Education are on the lookout for someone who is an enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant in the Sheffield area. This Literacy Support role would involve working in various mainstream primary schools, enhancing children’s literacy skills.
Previous experience of working with young people in a TA role is desirable. A team player with patience, understanding and a willingness to develop is required.
The role will involve:
– Understand and support independent learning, supporting children to develop their reading, writing and spelling skills.
– Working with students for whom English is not their first language.
– You will be expected to support the teaching and learning by working under the class teacher’s guidance to deliver material and interventions.
To be considered for this Literacy Support role you will need a Current DBS registered with the DBS Update Service – however if you do not have a DBS registered online, PK Education will provide full assistance in getting you one.
