Part-Time Upper KS2 Teacher (Monday – Wednesday)

Position: Part-Time Upper KS2 Teacher (Mixed Year 5/6)
Location: Near Tadcaster, Leeds (Lovely Village School)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 4 weeks
Working Days: Monday – Wednesday
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Working via: PK Education

PK Education is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Upper KS2 teacher to join a lovely village school near Tadcaster, Leeds. This part-time role will involve supporting a smaller class of mixed Year 5/6 pupils, and we are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality teaching, maintain strong classroom management, and build meaningful relationships with students, particularly those with SEND and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to a mixed Year 5/6 class.
  • Maintain high expectations for both behaviour and academic work.
  • Establish a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports students with SEND and SEMH.
  • Build strong rapport and trust with students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
  • Provide tailored support and interventions to ensure the academic and social development of all students.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively and create a safe, supportive learning space.
  • Planning is already done, so you can focus on delivering the lessons effectively.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience teaching Upper KS2, with a particular focus on Year 5/6.
  • Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high expectations for behaviour and work.
  • Ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships with students, especially those with SEND and SEMH.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passionate about supporting students to reach their full potential, both academically and socially.
