Year 6 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant

Location: Burley, Leeds
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (March to May, potential extension)
Pay: From £90 per day

PK Education are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Year 6 SATs Intervention Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a wonderful, diverse 1-form entry primary school in the heart of Burley, Leeds. This exciting opportunity will be on a temporary basis from March until May, with the potential for the contract to be extended for the right candidate.

This role is perfect for former teachers who wish to stay in the sector but want a role where they can make a real difference for pupils on a 1:1 basis, or for experienced TAs looking to gain further valuable intervention experience in preparation for future career development. Part time applications will be considered for the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Year 6 pupils across SATs preparation, focusing on targeted interventions in English and Maths.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver tailored interventions for individual and small groups of students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to support pupils in achieving their potential.
  • Provide ongoing assessment and feedback on student progress to inform planning and next steps.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum, especially in English and Maths.
  • Previous experience working with Year 6 students, particularly in SATs preparation.
  • A commitment to supporting the academic and personal growth of children from diverse backgrounds.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact on children’s education.
